PLEASE NOTE THIS SANGHA IS FINALLY CLOSING ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2022. FOR DETAILS, PLEASE READ THE SEPTEMBER BLOG POST.

Welcome to North Shore Mindfulness. We are a weekly practice group, or Sangha, located on the north shore of Vancouver. Our practice is inspired by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, a peace activist and teacher of engaged Zen Buddhism.

We practice meditation to cultivate mindfulness in everyday life. Our tradition is to sit quietly and pay attention to our breath. We offer guidance to support your practice. Together, we enjoy sitting and walking meditation, deep listening and speaking, drinking tea mindfully, learning from books, recordings and each other, and deep relaxation.

Newcomers of all ages, whether first time or experienced meditators, are warmly welcomed by the North Shore Mindfulness practice group.

Meetings are volunteer led. When we meet in person, small donations are welcomed to cover the room rental and sangha expenses. Chairs and mats are available, but if you have a favourite cushion or bench, please bring it along.

For now, we are meeting online, through Zoom. We typically meet from September to June, on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Audio Visual (AV) Room at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Centre (SAC) located at 695 21st Street, West Vancouver, BC. Please check our monthly Blog Posts for up to date information about how, when and where we are meeting.
